We set internal carbon milestone targets for 2022 and 2023, which are cascaded and tracked through our supply chain leaders and service teams.In 2021 we carried out 8-week energy reduction workshops with our larger sites. 22 sites completed the workshop in 2021 and a further 20 sites started in January 2022. These workshops helped our larger sites develop carbon reduction roadmaps to drive the reductions needed to achieve our goal.

We have a global fleet of over 10,000 vehicles. The largest proportion of these are for our service engineers to carry tools and parts for installation and servicing of hospital equipment.In 2021 we started the process of transitioning vehicles in North America and Europe to electric and hybrid vehicles. We’re also exploring mobility and other efficiency options to try and reduce the environmental footprint of our fleet. In 2022 we plan to continue optimizing our vehicle use and extend our transition to electric vehicles as availability of suitable vehicles and recharging infrastructure makes it a viable option.
