Portland, Ore. — May 21, 2025 — GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) will feature its latest enterprise imaging solutions innovations at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine(SIIM) 2025 Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon.
A RSNA survey of 13,000 radiologists last year found that 49% reported burnout and the top cause of burnout (60%) is excessive bureaucratic tasks.[2] One-third report excessive work hours and lack of autonomy over their life, while 28% report frustrations related to the use of medical records.[3] GE HealthCare is developing solutions for enterprise imaging to help improve workflow efficiency so clinicians can spend more time with patients.
GE HealthCare will be integrating Pace and Balance[4] into its True PACS and Centricity PACS solutions. This innovative addition is designed to enhance radiologists' productivity by optimizing their workload, enabling better patient care. Pace and Balance leverages predictive analytics to help increase reading capacity, with the goal of improving radiology productivity and reducing burnout. By ensuring an equal distribution of radiology cases, it balances the workload against exam reading capacity, promoting fairness in case assignments.
“Radiologists are eager for the latest tools to keep up with an ever-increasing case load. As GE HealthCare takes the lead on natively integrating Pace and Balance as part of our portfolio, we continue our commitment to deliver enterprise imaging solutions to help improve radiologists’ workflow efficiency while providing better patient care,” said Scott Miller, CEO of Enterprise Imaging Solutions, GE HealthCare.
