Intelligent RT (iRT) for radiation therapy patient workflow management

Impacting operational efficiency with iRT to shorten your patient's journey to treatment
At a glance

Single interface

Top level control of the entire RT care continuum from a single interface

Complete interoperability

With all major functional platforms (e.g., OIS, TPS, EMR, QA, PACS)

Customizable ecosystem

iRT seamlessly hosts & orchestrates multi-vendor applications (your existing applications + iRT- specific applications)

iRT is a fully-interoperable radiation therapy collaboration system (RTCS) for patient workflow management - designed with clinicians for clinicians.

The iRT ecosystem Health Services, provides simplified access to an intuitive visualization of patients’ longitudinal history, current care status, and next tasks to complete. In addition to robust iRT-specific applications, clinics have the flexibility to integrate their current or preferred applications. All clinically-relevant information is collected, analyzed, sorted, and displayed in real time on one common interface. The goal is to reduce the patient’s time from intake to first dose by reducing redundancies, wait time, and manual entries.

Features

Impacting operational efficiency with iRT to shorten your patient’s journey to treatment

One shared interface

Central command of your patient’s journey with up to 30% minimized touchpoints¹ and up to 82% fewer clicks¹

With one shared interface, iRT provides a single point of access for your entire team to coordinate care from early detection to post-treatment. Using publicly available protocols and APIs, iRT can accomplish tasks with zero clicks, reducing human errors. iRT references data from the existing data storage system, without creating new copies of data in multiple locations and enabling a single entry point for data.
Interoperability

iRT provides the flexibility of integrating current or preferred applications into iRT, automatically transferring data into the new common dashboard

iRT provides seamless integration with many systems for:

  • Oncology Information System (OIS)
  • Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Treatment Planning System (TPS)
  • Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Health Level-7 (HL7®)
  • Digital Imaging and Communication Radiation Therapy (DICOM-RT 2nd generation)
  • Integrating Healthcare Enterprise Radiation Oncology (IHE-RO)
  • Simulator
  • Pre-planning application (segmentation & registration)
iRT-specific applications

Your existing applications + iRT’s efficiency-driving applications

You have the flexibility of integrating your current or preferred applications through standard data interface – those that continue to best enhance your particular workflow–into iRT. Each one of them will run just as they do now, only you will never need to log into any of them again. iRT will automatically transfer their data into the new common dashboard. One interface for all applications–your existing applications and iRT’s

  1. Based on simulated user testing of iRT at a GE HealthCare facility by four external users familiar with RT treatment planning software (one radiation oncologist, one medical physicist, two dosimetrists). Each of the four users imported three unique patient cases into a RT treatment planning software manually and with iRT. A Python™ script was used to record mouse clicks and time to perform each task. The results represent an average of the 12 unique data points each from both manual and iRT tasks. The study was sponsored by GE HealthCare and all external users received payment for participation in the study. The results are not prescriptive and could vary depending on user, treatment planning software used, and circumstances.
