Refined through extensive research and user feedback, it supports remarkable imaging of areas of interest–neurosurgical (neuro-oncology, spine, neurovascular), urology (prostate, kidney, and bladder), hepatobiliary, colorectal, and pelvic floor.

It features technology such as Dual Live Compare for live image comparion, stored image compare, mirror image to see a live iUS image on the touch screen and sensitive color Doppler visualizes blood flow during complex surgeries.

The bkActiv ultrasound system delivers remarkable imaging for general surgery, including anorectal, robotics-assisted, and pelvic floor surgeries. Its advanced algorithms provide uniform image resolution and greater detail, while the remote control allows surgeons to adjust images within the sterile field. For anorectal surgeries, bkActiv offers high-definition imaging to visualize normal and abnormal anatomy, including anal sphincter injuries and rectal cancer. In robotics-assisted surgeries, the system's robotic transducers provide real-time, high-resolution imaging to locate and assess lesions and critical structures. For pelvic floor surgeries, bkActiv's advanced 3D architecture supports dynamic, real-time examination during procedures.

The bkActiv ultrasound system provides real-time imaging for neurosurgery and spine procedures. Its improved algorithms offer uniform image resolution, greater detail around lesion borders, and enhanced penetration. The system includes specialized transducers, such as the N13C5 craniotomy transducer for deep penetration and the N20P6 minimally invasive transducer* for accessing hard-to-reach areas. The Smart Button™ technology allows neurosurgeons to control images within the sterile field, ensuring precision during complex procedures.

*The N20P6 minimally invasive transducer has not been licensed by Health Canada or CE-marked; N20P6 is compatible with bkActiv and bk5000 software version 5.16.2 and higher.
The Minimally Invasive Transducer N20P6 is compatible with NICO BrainPath® (diameters 11-13.5 mm; lengths 50-95 mm), Vycor ViewSite™ Brain Access System (widths: 12-28 mm; heights: 8-20mm; lengths: 3-7cm), and Neuroendoport® (diameters greater than 13 mm; lengths: 5.5-8.5 cm).
Use of the X18L5s for intraoperative (neuro) has not been CE-marked.
