GE HealthCare expands the LOGIQ e ultrasound platform with new LOGIQ e family

August 04, 2026

  • LOGIQ™ e X[i] and LOGIQ™ e S[i] offer console-quality ultrasound in a compact laptop-sized system anywhere care can be delivered[ii]

CHICAGO – August 4, 2026 – GE HealthCare today announced the introduction of the LOGIQ™ e family, featuring LOGIQ™ e X[i] and LOGIQ™ e S[i], two compact laptop ultrasound systems designed to help clinicians deliver simple, fast, and confident ultrasound imaging where it’s needed across care settings.[ii] Building on the legacy of LOGIQ e, the LOGIQ e family pairs a reliable console-level performance with a compact, intuitive design combining AI-powered features[iii] and workflow tools that support portability and flexibility for care beyond traditional imaging departments.

“Healthcare delivery is changing rapidly, and imaging technology must evolve with it. Clinicians today need imaging solutions that can move seamlessly across care settings while supporting a variety of users and clinical applications,” said Karley Yoder, CEO, Ultrasound Solutions, Advanced Imaging Solutions, GE HealthCare. “The LOGIQ e family furthers our ability to serve customers with solutions that balance portability, performance and workflow, while bringing the right imaging capabilities to the right clinical environments.”

The LOGIQ e family supports a broad range of clinical applications including multi-purpose imaging, musculoskeletal, emergency medicine, critical care, rheumatology and anesthesiology.  LOGIQ e X[i] is a premium offering that combines AI-powered tools, advanced imaging capabilities and workflow-enhancing features, while LOGIQ e S[i] provides essential imaging capabilities in an intuitive, reliable system at a more affordable price point. Together, the systems give clinicians new options built to support a range of user preferences and operational requirements.

To help clinicians keep pace in busy environments, the LOGIQ e family features workflow tools like Scan Assistant[iii] and Voice Control, to help reduce manual interactions and increase efficiency. Depending on configuration and region, LOGIQ e X[i] also includes AI-powered tools designed to assist clinicians with image acquisition and workflow efficiency during exams:

  • Nerveblox™[iv] labels anatomical landmarks in the ultrasound image, designed to help clinicians feel confident during the peripheral nerve block procedure.
  • MSK Go[v] assists clinicians in performing musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, identifying anatomical structures on the ultrasound images acquired.

The ultrasound system also offers new tools to help enhance clinician confidence:

  • B-Flow provides real-time, high-resolution imaging of blood flow.
  • Speckle Reduction Imaging (SRI)-HD enhances visibility of organs and lesions with high-definition contrast resolution.
  • Automated Function Imaging (AFI)[iii] assesses structural heart defects of the left ventricle, right ventricle and left atrium throughout the heart cycle.
  • SonoBiometry performs measurements of fetal head, abdomen and femur, reducing keystrokes and improving workflow efficiency in biometry exams.

Verisound™ digital tools are also available depending on product configuration and region. Verisound Fleet, a cloud-based fleet management solution, supports organizations managing multiple systems with remote system configuration and backup, fleet-wide deployment capabilities. Verisound Collab[vi] enables virtual collaboration, and real-time system usage collaboration that lets clinicians easily communicate and collaborate within their network. LOGIQ e X[i] also supports Vscan Air™ probe compatibility, giving clinicians added flexibility with wireless, cable-free scanning.

“As I work in different clinics, a portable device is essential for me. What first caught my attention with the LOGIQ e is its design but beyond it being appealing is its performance, it’s very practical, easy to use and simple,” said Dr. Vicente Roqués Escolor, anesthesiologist. “I was also impressed by the possibility of using artificial intelligence, specifically the Nerveblox tool, which allows the scouting of the different structures we see in a large number of regional anesthesia techniques before performing the intervention.”

The latest LOGIQ e ultrasound systems are 510(k) cleared and CE Marked. These ultrasound systems are available in other markets where regulatory approval has been granted.
