Advance sustainable practices throughout the product lifecycle

We continue to reimagine the life of our products and their components: from product manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, installation, and service operations, product reuse, and refurbishment strategies, along with recycling options at the end of product life.

Programs

ECD and Circularity

Our environmental conscious design (ECD) and Circularity strategies aim to improve product environmental sustainability.

Environmental Conscious Design

Our ECD team oversees the development and manufacturing of new products and services. Working with product teams across the company, this team strives to enhance energy efficiency and develop GHG emissions reduction plans across business lines.

Circularity

Our Lifecycle Solutions team manages programs to extend the life of the GE HealthCare imaging equipment that our customers already own. It also manages predictive and remote repairs to their devices. When our customers choose to replace their systems, in many cases, we refurbish, resell, or harvest the systems for parts.

GoldSeal

The GoldSeal program accepts trade-in equipment to extend equipment life and increase access as a cost-effective solution.
