We have redefined the entire CT experience with Revolution™ Ascend, a 75 cm wide-bore CT system that makes the CT process faster, more intuitive and more approachable, while also providing the image quality you expect. We use an AI-based workflow solution, a smart user interface, cutting-edge technology and access to Smart Subscription to simplify, streamline and automate the entire CT experience.

The most time-consuming part of the CT experience isn’t the scan itself, but the steps that fall outside the scan such as patient prep and recon to report time. We analyzed all of the pre-scan and post-scan steps in the CT experience and incorporated our key findings into the design of Revolution Ascend. As a result, Revolution Ascend solves common concerns like the ability to efficiently accommodate high BMI patients and interventional procedures. It also enables easy two button scanning for all imaging.
We seek to boost operational efficiency with the goal of making your imaging workflow feel like second nature. We studied the entire CT workflow and created solutions to simplify the process. These solutions are the core of our Effortless Workflow model.
With the introduction of Revolution Ascend, we are moving to standardize functions by embedding the same user interface (UI) as our top-of-the-line CT system. The UI features the new Clarity Operator Environment, designed with your everyday needs in mind with features like Smart Plan for an intelligent anatomy recognition and localizer setting. Additionally, Auto Prescription adjusts scan setup by recommending scan parameters specific to the patient, enabling desired image quality and dose performance across scans, irrespective of your expertise level.
Revolution Ascend includes TrueFidelity images generated by our Deep Learning Image Reconstruction engine. It provides deep detail, remarkable contrast, texture and image clarity without compromise. TrueFidelity images are created using artificial intelligence to combine the low dose of iterative reconstruction with image appearance similar to filtered back projection.
Revolution Ascend pairs a new 75-centimeter-wide gantry design with a lower table position to increase the patient area1 inside the bore by 22 percent compared to previous generation GE CT scanners. This increase provides more space to patients for a more comfortable CT scanning experience. With this new wider bore design, Revolution Ascend provides the widest gantry aperture at the shortest geometry design of its class1, making CT available to large patients as well as trauma cases that would be too delicate to maneuver into a smaller gantry.
