  • SMALL LESION DETECTABILITY

    Activity at scan time = 1.6 mCi / 59.2 MBq. Discovery MI 25 AFOV scanner at low activity utilizing the deviceless MotionFree acquisition of 20 overall minutes. This case demonstrates a combination of low-dose PET & MotionFree respiratory scanning as a routine workflow. Comparison to static images reveals improvement in volumetric accuracy of lesion size.

    In this case, MotionFree detected significant respiratory motion from only a single bed. This saves time in comparison to a scan that utilized an external respiratory-correction device. Size and activity of lesions are enhanced with MotionFree respiratory motion correction, and different scan times using MotionFree provided comparable image quality, with both showing improved lesion detectability in the liver area compared to conventional technology.
