Reliable and robust
Wireless technology designed to be as reliable as wired
Portrait Mobile is a wearable continuous monitoring solution that provides a real-time personalized view of your patient. It encourages patient mobility while monitoring dual vector RR, SpO2 and PR continuously. Flow of data is uninterrupted and provides continuous trending and actionable alarms, which may help clinicians detect deterioration as it is happening so that they can intervene proactively.
Portrait Mobile is a CE marked medical device. Portrait Mobile is not available in all markets and is not 510(k) cleared.
Adverse events in general wards are not uncommon. Vital signs are often abnormal hours before an event, but may go unnoticed as spot-checks are only done every few hours2. Utilizing Portrait Mobile in wards may help clinicians intervene proactively.
By eliminating bedside tethering and by visualizing data wirelessly, nurses can still monitor patients while the patient ambulates. Patient ambulation may reduce recovery times and prevent costly complications related to immobility1.
Eliminating the wires enables patients to have the freedom to move about the hospital. It also means that visitors can interact with the patient without technology getting in the way. And for family members it is peace of mind knowing that monitoring is constant - anywhere the patient is.
Portrait Mobile reimagines respiration rate (RR) measurements entirely through an innovative dual vector wireless sensor, which leverages an advanced algorithm providing real-time, motion-tolerant measurement and trends. By optimized electrode placement, clinicans can reliably monitor diverse patient types, regardless of their particular breathing pattern or body type.3
By providing a continuous picture of a patient's status, Portrait Mobile allows caregivers to see when respiration rate, SpO2, and pulse rate change even slightly. This gives clinicians the opportunity to act early and potentially avert serious adverse events such as cardiorespiratory complications or infectious disease.
Portrait Mobile is designed for the wards so the alarm strategy is different than for other patient populations. Limits and delays are easily set to your clinical preferences, allowing you to be alerted to the patient status based on your view of when it is significant and sustained, thereby requiring an immediate response. Alarms can be configured to alert at the Portrait Central Viewer, enabling a silent recovery experience for the patient.
Built on GE Healthcare's Edison HealthLink platform, an advanced edge-compute platform, Portrait Mobile is designed to evolve. Meaning, you can start wireless monitoring patients with Portrait Mobile today and expand the platform as your monitoring needs evolve in the years to come.
A routable communications architecture lets hospitals leverage their existing network infrastructure, reducing installation and maintenance costs. And by adopting IHE/HL7® standards, Portrait Mobile can also integrate with EMR systems, enabling seamless ADT workflows—like admitting and discharging patients, clinical documentation, and interfacing with third-party platforms.
Agree that they feel more reassured about their patient's condition when continuous monitoring is used versus vital signs spot check measuring
agree that Portrait Mobile can help in an earlier detection of patient deterioration than routine observation
of nurse reports give Portrait Mobile an overall rating of good or very good
agree they are more confident in assessing respiratory function using Portrait Mobile
I had no problems at all. I didn't even notice they were there.
