DICOM Conformance
Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM**) is the worldwide standard for medical imaging and related data. It is used in virtually all imaging-intensive medical professions, from radiology and cardiology, to radiation oncology, to pathology, and more.
IHE Integration
Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE**) is an international public-private collaboration promoting standards-based interoperability in healthcare. IHE Profiles specify focused solutions for major information sharing use cases; IHE Connectathons provide a venue for cross-vendor interoperability testing.
HL7 Standards
Health Level Seven International** specifies interoperability standards in the healthcare clinical and administrative data domain. Its standards help improve care delivery, optimize workflow, reduce ambiguity and enhance knowledge transfer. HL7 standards include Version 2 (HL7v2), Version 3 (HL7v3), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), and Clinical Context Management (CCOW).
Carequality
GE Healthcare is a member of Carequality, an initiative of the Sequoia Project. Carequality is a multi-stakeholder initiative that has brought together public and private sector players from across the healthcare ecosystem to meet the challenge of connecting disparate data sharing networks and platforms. The Carequality community uses a consensus-based process to develop and implement tools that enable seamless connectivity across all participating networks. The Carequality Interoperability Framework consists of legal terms, policy requirements, technical specifications, and governance processes that together make it possible for healthcare to replicate the success other industries have achieved in breaking down barriers between many networks, programs, and platforms.
Carequality Information Handling Practices Statement
GE Healthcare makes functionality available to its customers to enable them to exchange data with other healthcare organizations using the Carequality Framework. GE Healthcare transmits and stores information only to enable its customers' use of Carequality.
