The Patient Journey

Liver cancer is the fifth most common cancer, accounting for 8.2 percent of all cancer deaths worldwide.1 The incidence is rising across all continents including in the United States. A study published in JAMA Oncology, December 2017 found the incidence of liver cancer increased by 75 percent worldwide between 1990 and 2015.2 Effective surveillance programs with imaging could offer early diagnosis and provide an opportunity for better treatment options.
