Enabling a better way to monitor moms and fetuses

Women value the ability to move during labor, and caregivers need a monitoring solution that drives the best possible outcomes. The Novii™+ Wireless Patch System is the next generation of the trusted wireless, beltless maternal/fetal monitoring solution that non-invasively measures fetal heart rate (FHR), maternal heart rate (MHR) and uterine activity (UA), as early as 34 weeks, all the while enabling moms to comfortably move and rest.

Features
Enhance birthing care with the Novii+ Wireless Patch System
More confidence in care

All caregivers should feel empowered by their technology to drive the best possible outcomes for moms and babies. The Novii+ Wireless Patch System noninvasively detects the fECG and mECG rather than traditional methods. Features include:

  • Reliable tracings captured from the patient’s abdomen, regardless of BMI 1
  • mECG and fECG simultaneously monitored and differentiated, allowing the maternal heart rate (MHR) and fetal heart rate (FHR) to be easily separated to help avoid maternal/fetal coincidence 2
  • Electromyogram (EMG) signals captured from the uterine muscle to detect uterine activity (UA). Uterine EMG has been shown to be more reliable than TOCO UA 3

Safe for pre-term and labor

The Novii+ system is safe for moms in both antepartum as well as intrapartum. With cleared usage that includes pregnant patients 34 weeks and greater, the Novii+ system provides a comfortable and restful monitoring option during antepartum evaluation.

Enabling a better experience

The Novii+ system helps mom have a better laboring experience:

  • The ability to choose laboring positions and ambulation activities. Studies have shown that enabling mobility may help decrease the length of labor. 2
  • The ‘no repositioning’ technology allows moms the freedom to labor without the need for transducer repositioning once a good fECG signal has been established.
  • Waterproof patch and pod components, enabling patients to bathe or shower.
  • For those patients receiving an epidural placement, FHR monitoring can continue unrestricted by cords or belts.

Designed for simplicity

The simple Novii+ system is comprised of three parts:

  • Novii Patch: five peel-and-stick electrodes that secure to the mom’s abdomen. The patch captures the fECG signal, the uterine electromyography (EMG) signal, and the mECG signal.
  • Novii+ Pod: magnetically connects to the patch and identifies the fECG, mECG, and uterine mEMG, then filters, digitizes, and processes them to extract the FHR, MHR, and UA data. The data is then transmitted via Bluetooth® to the Novii+ Interface.
  • Novii+ Interface: receives the pod's output and sends it to the transducer inputs of a compatible Corometrics™ fetal monitor. The Novii+ Interface also has a touchscreen with two bays for charging and pairing the Novii pods.

Designed for seamless connectivity

The Novii+ system provides a seamless connection to a compatible Corometrics monitor, whether Corometrics 250cx or 174 series, allowing the fECG, mECG and UA data to flow to your existing IT surveillance and archival system like the Centricity™ Perinatal Software, enabling efficient patient care.
