Ultrasound Transducers Cleaning & Disinfection Instructions

Notices applicable to all probes listed as compatible with disinfection machines using ultraviolet (UV) light:

• UV rays might cause discoloration of exposed areas. Such discoloration does not impact performance, safety and lifetime of the probe. Probes will not be replaced for discoloration.
• The efficacy of disinfection by these machines has not been validated by GE HealthCare.

Notices applicable to Vscan Air™ probes:

• Use of trophon® EPR or trophon®2 devices is only possible if the probe is suspended in the chamber using the trophon® Wireless Ultrasound Probe Holder accessory. Use of trophon® EPR or trophon®2 may cause discoloration of exposed areas. Such color change does not impact the performance, safety or lifetime of the probe. If color change occurs due to the use of trophon® EPR or trophon®2, Vscan Air™ will not be repaired or replaced under any warranty or contract agreement.
• Use of Tristel™ Trio Wipes System may cause yellowing of exposed areas. Such color change does not impact the performance, safety or lifetime of the probe. If color change occurs due to the use of Tristel™ Trio Wipes System, Vscan Air™ will not be repaired or replaced under any warranty or contract agreement.
