Over 100 GE Healthcare volunteers set aside their day jobs to volunteer to help build medical equipment in critical demand for #COVID19. Meet some of the team here. Kellie M. (McKinney) Day job: Product Sales Specialist. Kellie spends most of her time on the road and in hospitals, meeting with clinicians. Plant job: What the team calls a “water spider.” She tracks and pulls key ventilator parts and brings them to the assembly line to complete the production process. Tammy Lee Day job: Technology Program Manager. Plant job: Troubleshooting, going wherever help is needed. The day this picture was taken, the team hit a milestone – the most R860 ventilators were completed during that single shift. Paul Meier Day job: Data Analyst. Until recently, he was sitting at a desk crunching numbers. Plant job: Quality testing ventilators. “I raised my hand because this work serves a bigger purpose and can help so many people at this time,” he says. Ben Fox Day job: Public Affairs Director. Plant job: Ventilator production line. “I’m proud to be part of a company that is acting – in a thousand different ways, for minutes, for hours, for days. And I’m grateful that I can do a small part to support the line as our teams hold the line,” he says.
