GE Healthcare Women's Heart Health Awareness Campaign

GE Healthcare is reaching out to women to communicate the importance of heart disease prevention and early detection, and to motivate women to be proactive in their own health care.

In every day life, millions of women take important preventative steps to lead a healthier life – like using sunscreen, buckling their seatbelts or even getting a mammogram. Yet only a small percentage of women take easy—yet critical—steps to prevent heart disease. These steps could make a significant difference in their lives and the lives of their family.

In addition, heart disease isn’t just a men’s disease anymore, and many women do not understand that heart disease symptoms in women are often different than those in men.

Research and clinical data reveal that more than 80 % of heart disease is preventable.

GE Healthcare’s vision is to help empower the public with the knowledge necessary to take an active role in their health care, and help healthcare providers predict, diagnose, inform and treat their patients so every individual can live their life to the fullest.
