Vivid 7 Dimension - What Customers are Saying...

Customer Testimonials - Vivid 7 Dimension 08

"4D in real-time is very user-friendly. It gives the reader a much better concept of the heart as being the volumetric (3-dimensional) organ that it really is. We are seeing beautiful endocardial definition, and nice color Doppler in 4D mode. Our sonographers say that the 3V transducer is lightweight, easy to use, and leaves a relatively modest footprint on the chest."

"We found tri-plane imaging from GE Healthcare to be an extremely useful and practical tool for ejection fraction determination."

Customer Testimonials - Vivid 7 Dimension 06

The 4D LV-Volume tool is quick, robust and intuitive. It is an easy-to-use tool even for non experienced users. The workflow from EchoPAC to the 4D LV Function is smooth. We will use it for patients with reduced LV function, wall motion abnormalities or asynchrony. It has a good chance to become a routine tool for these cases, because the controlled 4D acquisition with the Vivid 7 is relatively easy.

AFI is a simple, user friendly program that allows regional function quantitation with minimal input.

Ted Abraham, MD
Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory Johns Hopkins University

AFI accurately identified regions of scarred myocardium as determined by contrast-enhanced cardiac MRI. In addition, a specific region of viable myocardium was accurately identified by AFI. Recent evidence has shown that the placement of left ventricular pacing leads away from areas of transmural scar and within regions of viable myocardium provides superior results with cardiac resynchronization therapy. Therefore, AFI may be a valuable tool for the evaluation of patients undergoing biventricular device implantation.

"The 4D color flow is useful for investigation of all kinds of heart valve disease for estimating proximal jet width in regurgitations and orifice areas in stenoses. In mitral valve regurgitations jet estimations, it is extremely helpful."

"I truly believe that GE 4D echo including 4D color information is of high quality offering essential clinical information."

We are very pleased with the overall imaging capability of the Vivid 7, even for technically difficult studies. It is the best system we have used or seen. We think the report package is excellent and well suited to the needs of a busy lab in terms of ease of use and increasing report turnaround--we cut our transcription load by at least 50%. The best features of BT06 are:

  • Automatic conclusions. This allows conclusions to be generated on the fly without having to go back and free-text them. This is a big time saver. Moreover, due to the ability to make user defined statements, I can create an original conclusion for any given report findings without duplicating the findings verbatim in the conclusion. I can also elect not to put something in the conclusion if I feel it is not essential, thereby keeping conclusions concise and to the point for the referring physician.
  • The ability to easily add or edit structured findings.
  • Excellent and user friendly report customizability, which can easily be performed on the fly if needed. Reports can be customized in an infinite variety of ways and can be individualized to each user, still keeping the same basic format for the lab. Reports templates are relatively easy to construct and customize as well giving a professional, finished appearance to the report.
  • The raw data format frees up the sonographers time and allows the physician to be a virtual sonographer.
