Strategies for ED improvement

• Utilize process redesign methodologies, such as Lean, to break processes down into their components and expose the causes of delays and inefficiency.
• Properly configure and design systems to facilitate and enforce the redesigned processes and provide tools by which to measure improvement.
• Launch a Change Acceleration Process (CAP) to provide a structured approach to sustaining improvements and promoting adoption of new workflows and processes.
• Use visual management technology to provide continuous, real-time data about people, processes and mobile assets throughout the ED.
