NEW AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RECOMMENDATION FOR THE USE OF BREAST MRI

In March 2007, the American Cancer Society announced a new recommendation for annual MR (magnetic resonance) exams in addition to mammography for patients determined to be at especially high-risk. Women should speak with their physician to determine the appropriateness of an MR exam.
