Spine Imaging

The Digital RF subsystem provides excellent RF power and uniformity for all image acquisitions. Quadrature coil technology is integrated throughout for excellent imaging performance. The Signa CV/i - NV/i system provides a single Digital RF amplifier subsystem for high quality imaging with conventional linear and quadrature surface coils.

Spine Coils

Linear Receive Anterior Neck Coil

Linear Receive Anterior Neck Coil

  • Receive-only
  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
    For medium-sized anatomical structures
  • Specific coverage for imaging: Cervical Spine, Pharynx, Parapharyngeal area, Sternoclavicular area
  • The coil is packaged in a semi-flexible housing that conforms to the anterior portion of the neck and upper chest. The package includes an image quality phantom
  • Can be combined with the posterior neck coil for volume neck imaging

Quadrature Cervical Spine Coil

Quadrature Cervical Spine Coil

  • Quadrature design
  • Optimal Imaging Volume: Cervial Spine imaging from the 4th ventricle to the second thoracic vertebra
  • Uniform signal intensity allows for superior soft tissue neck imaging
  • Increased SNR over the body coil
  • Flexible package that conforms to the lordotic curve of the neck
  • Coil package also includes a set of patient comfort pads, straps and a phantom

Quadrature Thoracic / Lumbar Spine Coil

Quadrature Thoracic / Lumbar Spine Coil

  • Quadrature Technology
  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
Movable coil that allows imaging without the need for patient repositioning
  • Large FOV for imaging:
    Lumbar Spine
    Thoracic Spine
  • Sensitive range of this coil is 30 cm superior to inferior
  • Can be combined with the cervical spine coil for full spine imaging
  • Increased SNR over the body coil

Phased Array Coils for Spine Applications

Neurovascular Array Coil

Neurovascular Array Coil

  • Phased Array Technology Receive only
  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
Combined head and neck imaging without the need for patient repositioning
  • Large FOV (48 cm) for imaging the carotid and vertebral arteries from the arch of the aorta to the Circle of Willis
  • Uniform signal intensity allows for superior soft tissue neck, head, and brain imaging

Quadrature CTL

Quadrature CTL

  • Quadrature design
  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
Combined cervical thoracic, and lumbar spine imaging without the need for patient repositioning
  • Large 75 cm FOV for imaging from the 4th ventricle to the sacrum. Only a 48 cm FOV may be prescribed at one time
  • Built-in volume neck coil improves cervical spine imaging and allows for carotid MRA
  • Increased SNR over the linear CTL coils
  • Conforms to the natural curvature of the neck and spine
  • Patient comfort pad and restraint also included
