Siting and Specifications

The GE Signa CV/i- NV/i Magnetic Resonance system is a short bore, high performance, whole-body imaging system operating at 1.5 Tesla. The unique combination of a high performance, applications optimized gradient system with a comprehensive family of specialized imaging sequences enables a full range of cardiac and neuro imaging applications in addition to traditional whole body imaging applications.

Coils

  • The Signa CV/i-NV/i system provides a standard quadrature transmit and receive head coil for neurology applications as well as an integrated quadrature body coil for general body applications. Also included is a Phased Array Kit which provides three additional Digital RF subsystems to enable linear and quadrature Phased Array imaging.
  • A wide variety of optional quadrature, flexible and phased array surface coils which are all compatible with multi-shot and single shot EchoPlanar imaging.

Siting

  • Simplified siting - With its small size and lightweight magnet, the 1.5T Signa CV/i provides significant cost and time savings in siting and installation. The system's compact footprint fits entirely within a 34 m2 suite. The CXK4-150 magnet's light weight virtually eliminates additional floor reinforcement costs. And thanks to its active shielding technology, the Signa CV/i can usually be sited without the significant expense of additional magnetic shielding - which means that the system can often be sited convenient to cardiac patient care areas.
