Extremity Imaging

The Digital RF subsystem provides excellent RF power and uniformity for all image acquisitions. Quadrature coil technology is integrated throughout for excellent imaging performance. The Signa CV/i - NV/i system provides a single Digital RF amplifier subsystem for high quality imaging with conventional linear and quadrature surface coils.

Extremity Coils

Quadrature Extremity Coil

Quadrature Extremity with chimney for foot

  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
18 cm FOV (Max FOV 28 cm through vertical extension)
  • Multiple utility:
    Knee
    Ankle
    Foot
  • Uniform signal intensity allows for superior soft tissue and Fat Sat imaging
  • Increased SNR over linear array coils
  • Anterior vertical extension increases the imaging volume for complete evaluation of the foot and ankle in the neutral position. Eliminates the need to perform compound obliques.

Linear Shoulder Array Coil

Linear Shoulder Array Coil

  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
    The shoulder girdle
  • Large FOV for imaging:
    Humeral head and neck
    Glenoid fossa
    Acromion process
    Rotator cuff
    Glenoid labral structures
  • Uniform signal intensity allows for superior Fat Sat and soft tissue imaging
  • Packaged in a housing that is contoured to rest easily on the gleno-humeral joint
  • Increased SNR over the body coil

Phased Array Coils for Extremity Applications

Shoulder Array Coil

Shoulder Array Coil

  • Phased Array Technology
    Takes advantage of multi-channel imaging
  • Optimal Imaging Volume:
    The shoulder girdle
  • Small FOV for imaging:
    Humeral head and neck
    Glenoid fossa
    Acromion process
    Rotator cuff
    Glenoid labral structures
  • Uniform signal intensity allows for superior Fat Sat and soft tissue imaging
  • Included in the package are two different sized coils to cover a wide spectrum of different patient body habitus
  • Increased SNR over linear/quad coils
