Tools to Give Your Practice a Competitive Edge

GE Centricity™ Image Distribution Solutions provide you with a multitude of options to begin managing your image datasets in a digital environment – all providing you with a path to upgrade to an enterprise, filmless PACS solution. So if your budget does not allow for the installation of a complete filmless and paperless PACS today – GE provides you with the ability to increase your service levels to referring physicians, or primary read in soft copy, or burn CD’s with simple, cost-effective image distribution solutions.

The datasets from radiology and cardiology have grown too large and complex to be managed in a film based environment. So what options are available to read soft copy without deploying a large, enterprise PACS application? GE offers Centricity™ Express – a solution for primary read of radiology exams with the power of the Centricity™ RA1000 diagnostic workstation. It’s the exact same workstation used by radiologists who have deployed enterprise-wide Centricity™ PACS, with customized worklists and hanging protocols as well as tools for navigating large datasets. Centricity™ Express can then be combined with a DICOM-based Centricity™ Enterprise Archive or RIS integration to begin building a complete filmless PACS solution.

Many third-party studies have revealed that referring physicians spend too much time looking for lost films, and increasing your service levels to referrings can increase your revenue. So GE provides Centricity™ Enterprise Web – a web-based image distribution solution for your referring physicians. All your referring physicians need is an Internet browser and VPN connectivity to your network and they have instant access to digital images over the web. Centricity™ Enterprise Web can function on its own, or be connected to Centricity™ Express and/or Centricity™ Enterprise Archive. It’s a great first step towards a completely filmless PACS solution.

GE also provides you the ability to softcopy read images at a single, stand alone workstation or in a teleradiology environment with Centricity™ RA600. RA600 can also support CD burning as another method for distributing non-film images.

So whatever option you choose, GE Centricity™ Image Distribution Solutions provide a number of ways to take cost-effective steps towards a completely filmless environment.
