Advance WorkStation Release 4

Advance WorkStation Release 4

Processing & Review PET Workstation

The GE Advance Release 4 Software is for use on SUN Ultra60 dual 450 MHz workstation. This powerful software enhances the power and speed of processing, display, storage and networking while using the 5-node, 10-node or 20-node array processors, to perform reconstruction task such as:

2D Segmented Attenuation Correction and Iterative Reconstruction

It supports DICOM PET and its main technical features are as follows:

This powerful workstation is combined with a user friendly graphical user interface and a complete set of processing and review tools: full featured display, reformat, ROI statistical analysis and plotting, image arithmetic, relational database, protocols, filming, archive, and optional packages (PET DICOM and CT/MR DICOM Image registration & fusion, Kinetic Modeling). Display, archive, reconstruction, and acquisition operate simultaneously. Sites can also obtain research access to raw and image data as well as research analysis tools.

Advance's kinetic modeling packages allow you to create functional images in quantitative, metabolic units using the PATLAK, Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF), and FDG Autoradiographic Models. These kinetic models are fully integrated with the scanner software and provide point-and-click input of model parameters and plasma tracer curves.

The Advance is a clinical whole-body PET scanner that is easily customized and extended for research use. Industry standard components such as Unix, X/Motif, Ethernet, SQL, and Informix were used to eliminate proprietary architectures and address the needs of clinical routine use ahile keeping image and raw data files easily accessible and modifiable for research oriented use. A Learn Mode is provided for record and playback of frequent operations. And a powerful batch mode processing language, PERL, can be used to add your own customizations and image processing algorithms.
