Hawkeye

Hawkeye - SPECT

Hawkeye SPECT is a CT registration and fusion package as well as CT transmission attenuation correction for low energy SPECT studies. CT and SPECT scans can be performed in one study and the resultant tomographic data sets are then registered and overlayed using the eNTEGRA Hawkeye applications software.

Now, for the first time, a method of attenuation correction is available which is convenient, accurate, and throughput sensitive! Hawkeye generates a patient specific transmission scan which can then be used to correct for common attenuation artifacts.

Features

Advantages of CT Attenuation Correction

  • High photon density greatly reduces the noise level of the attenuation maps.
  • High resolution CT imaging generates highly accurate attenuation maps.
  • Unlike radionuclide transmission based AC, there is no crosstalk between the emission and transmission images.
  • CT detectors avoid dead time, pile-up and other isssues associated with using cameras for both transmission and emission.
