Discovery VH combines new coincidence detection, CoDe VC, 1" crystal imaging technology with Hawkeye, the world's first imaging system to integrate nuclear medicine and CT technology for increased diagnostic power.

  • Increased PET resolution for enhanced lesion detectability
  • Localization of tumors and lesions with an anatomic CT map to aid in diagnosis
  • CT attenuation maps to provide accurate data to correct for attenuation artifacts in both SPECT and PET imaging
  • Increased clinical confidence for studies at every energy level

Features

Slip Ring Gantry

The Discovery VH Gantry and Table combine both flexibility, speed and ease of use providing major benefits to the whole range of clinical applications of Nuclear Medicine. It optimizes continuous tomographic dynamic scans, minimizes patient motion artifacts in tomographic exams, or permits high-speed SPECT orbiting, increasing throughput at the same time that it optimizes image quality.

The gantry is easily set up for any of the applications. The remote control, which is accessible form either side of the gantry, together with the top-box status display giving you real-time information and instructions for quick reference, help you in minimizing set-up time. You can easily switch from 90° to 180° geometry, adjust detector radius, start, stop, pause or continue acquisitions. You get touch-of-a-button control over the entire system.

The Discovery VH table eliminates the need for cumbersome floor rails, accommodates patients of up to 200 kg (440 pounds) and offers automatic home positioning. It easily pivots to give access to the gantry for easy dual-collimator changing or seated patient imaging. You will also find security features such as a quick release latch that lets you respond quickly in emergencies.

In addition, the Discovery VH remote control gives you control over the entire system.

Automatic Body Contouring

The Discovery VH LED-controlled real-time Automatic Body Contouring makes it fast and easy to adjust detector-to-patient distance. With its ability to radially move its detectors both for Wholebody scans and for 180° positioning or 90° positioning SPECT studies, you will have better resolution and sensitivity for your oncology exams as well as for all your SPECT procedures.
