A 62 year-old female with upper spine pain. Previous chest X-ray revealed only a small non-significant lesion. Patient was then referred to Nuclear Medicine.
Findings:
99mTc-HDP whole body bone scan using Infinia Hawkeye gamma camera was normal.

Findings:
A chest SPECT/CT scan was then performed. Bone SPECT revealed a focal increased uptake of the tracer in the thoracic spine, perfectly correlated with a dense lesion clearly visible in the vertebral body on CT Hawkeye images.
Conclusion:
A diagnostic CT scan was also performed and confirmed the lesion in the vertebra. The lesion was diagnosed as an angioma.
