72-year old patient with known laryngeal tumor originating from the
glottis of the left side.
PET for evaluation of distal metastasis.
PET shows enhancement in the laryngeal region of the left without
local metastasis. Unclear enhancement in the right angular region
of the jaw.

PET CT demonstrates the tumor with extension over the midline
anterior with destruction of the laryngeal cartilage and invasion of
the soft tissue.
The pathologic uptake in the jaw region on the right is localized within
the parotid gland.
The differential diagnosis includes benign lesions like Warthin tumor
or metastasis.
