Image Registration

Image Registration

The Image Registration option provides a tool to register images acquired on different modalities or to register functional images acquired at different times. Once the data is registered it can be displayed using the Functional Anatomical Fusion protocol or the PET CT Review protocol.

About NeuroGam™

Benefits

  • Intra-modality Registration provides:
    • Improved clinical follow-up
    • Ability to do dual-stage clinical procedure.
  • Inter-Modality Registration provides improved:
    • Tumor Localization
    • Radiation Treatment Planning
    • Image Guided Intervention

Features

  • Easy to use interactive registration process
  • Supports inter-modality registration including NM/CT, PET/CT, NM/MR & PET/MR
  • Supports intra-modality registration including NM/NM and PET/PET
  • Supports registration:
    • Directly between two images where the target image is registered to match the reference image
    • Indirectly by registering a pattern image which is coregistered with the target image to the reference image. Pattern images supported include PET Transmission Scan, Hawkeye CT Scan or NM scan with anatomic detail.
  • Provides two registration methods:
    • Landmark Based Registration (LBR), where a minimum of three user defined landmark pairs are used for computing a transformation that matches the target or pattern image to the reference image.
    • Direct Access Registration (DAR), where the target or pattern image is moved and rotated until it matches the reference image.
  • Quantitative information about registration quality displayed during LBR setup.
  • Direct Access Registration screen automatically launched after LBR transformation completed. This provides a fine tuning step to the LBR.
