Diffusion Weighted EPI

Diffusion Weighted EPI

Diffusion Weighted EPI is a single-shot echo planar imaging technique that uses 3 directional motion sensing gradient pulses to differentiate tissue based on the diffusion motion of water, and is typically used to enhance the ability of MR to detect acute and hyperacute cerebral infarct. The EchoPlus diffusion package includes a combination of SS-EPI and FLAIR-EPI. Automated online processing produces isotropic diffusion-weighted images. Enhanced post-processing with FuncTool can be used to generate ADC and eADC maps.
