Perfusion

Perfusion

Perfusion expands the dominant role of CT in evaluation of patients with acute stroke. Despite the capability of MR, CT remains the "gold standard" for evaluating the presence of hemorrhage. Consequently, CT Perfusion is the logical next step to quantifying the patient's condition. The CT Perfusion software provides relative cerebral blood volume, relative cerebral blood flow, mean transit time and time to peak quantitative information.

Case Study: CT Perfusion - Xenon Comparison

Case Study: Confirming the Severity of Internal Carotid Stenosis
Dr. David Brazier, M.D.

3D Imaging Analysis

3D Imaging Analysis

3D Imaging Analysis is a post processing technique that creates 3D models using surface rendering and maximum intensity pixel projection modes. 3D in used on orthopedic and maxillo-facial exams to enhance the diagnostic utility. 3D is also a must on CT angiography to remove obstructing structures.

Case Study: Analysis of Tracheal Pathology
David P. Naidich, M.D.

SmartRecon

SmartRecon

SmartRecon reconstruct images simultaneously 6 images / rotation providing. For a trauma patient, you can obtain a prompt diagnosis. Blood flow can be illustrated by observing contrast medium flow. "Smart recon" provides high quality examination.

0.7 Second Scan

0.7 Second Scan

0.7 Second Scan offers the ability to achieve 360 degrees of scan rotation in 0.7 Seconds. This increase in gantry speed creates more flexibility with protocol control for the operator. When speed is important for trauma patients or for the non-sedated child, 0.7 Second Scan makes the difference. 0.7 Second Scan times can also improve the quality of CT Angiography exams. Less contrast can be used or higher injection rates can be used to improve vascular imaging as compared to a 1 second rotation speed. (for NX/i Plus only)

Enhanced Cooling 6.3MHU

Enhanced Cooling 6.3MHU

Enhanced Cooling 6.3MHU optimized cooling algorithm reduces occurrence of cooling wait. Cooling wait is one of the issues for all CT. Enhanced cooling provides less cooling and higher throughput. This feature will improve the productivity. (for NX/i Plus only)

SmartPrep

SmartPrep

SmartPrep bolus detection eliminates the guesswork on contrast injections. SmartPrep precisely determines when contrast will reach peak enhancement, regardless of cardiac output, so scanning can begin at the optimum point in time.

Case Study: Advanced Vessel Analysis

Case Studies: Helical Liver CT
Paul M. Silverman, M.D.

3D Navigator

3D Navigator

3D Navigator is a post processing technique that adds "fly through" capability to 3D Image Analysis. 3D Navigator is used to examine the interior walls of hollow structures such as the sinuses, trachea, or colon. 3D Navigator does require 3D Image Analysis. (requires 3D Image Analysis option)

Extended Helical 120sec

Extended Helical 120sec

Extended Helical 120sec ... Extended helical memory to 120 rotation. When you select thin thickness, you can acquire the whole body with one scan. This feature will improve the productivity. (for NX/i and NX/i Plus only)

0.8 Second Scan

0.8 Second Scan

0.8 Second Scan offers the ability to achieve 360 degrees of scan rotation in 0.8 Seconds. This increase in gantry speed creates more flexibility with protocol control for the operator. When speed is important for trauma patients or for the non-sedated child, 0.8 Second Scan makes the difference. 0.8 Second Scan times can also improve the quality of CT Angiography exams. Less contrast can be used or higher injection rates can be used to improve vascular imaging as compared to a 1 second rotation speed. (for NX/i only)
