HiSpeed CT/i

(Please reboot your system after each successfully downloaded package)

GE has taken the risk out of software purchases, and the wait to see the results. We currently offer time-expired download capability for software options on the HiSpeed CT/i. We're calling this eFlexTrial. Select your choice from the optional software packages described below.

Note: CT/i system software version 6.1 / 4.4 is required in order to install the eFlexTrial options below. Please contact your local service representative to receive a copy of this system update.

eFlexTrial Options

Perfusion

Perfusion

Perfusion expands the dominant role of CT in evaluation of patients with acute stroke. Despite the capability of MR, CT remains the "gold standard" for evaluating the presence of hemorrhage. Consequently, CT Perfusion is the logical next step to quantifying the patient's condition. The CT Perfusion software provides relative cerebral blood volume, relative cerebral blood flow, mean transit time and time to peak quantitative information. (v6.1 Octane only)

3D Imaging Analysis

3D Imaging Analysis

3D Imaging Analysis is a post processing technique that creates 3D models using surface rendering and maximum intensity pixel projection modes. 3D is used on orthopedic and maxillo-facial exams to enhance the diagnostic utility. 3D is also a must on CT angiography to remove obstructing structures.

SmartHelical

SmartHelical

SmartHelical uses a special reconstruction algorithm that reduces the noise in helical images and allows up to a 35% reduction in mAs without compromising image quality. (SmartHelical only increases effective helical slice thickness by 10% with 1:1 pitch.) Consequently, SmartHelical will reduce tube heating and extend helical run times. SmartHelical can be used in conjunction with SmartBeam for cumulative effects.

Fast Recon

Fast Recon

Fast Recon reconstructs full resolution 512x512 images in 1.75 seconds per image. Fast Recon makes critical images available to you faster and increases productivity overall, especially for high image count exams. (v6.1 Octane only)

SmartPrep

SmartPrep

SmartPrep bolus detection eliminates the guesswork on contrast injections. SmartPrep precisely determines when contrast will reach peak enhancement, regardless of cardiac output, so scanning can begin at the optimum point in time.

3D Navigator

3D Navigator

3D Navigator is a post processing technique that adds "fly through" capability to 3D Image Analysis. 3D Navigator is used to examine the interior walls of hollow structures such as the sinuses, trachea, or colon. 3D Navigator does require 3D Image Analysis. (requires 3D Image Analysis option)

SmartBeam

SmartBeam

SmartBeam enables a 20% to 30% reduction in mAs on body studies without compromising image quality or increasing effective helical slice thickness. Consequently, SmartBeam will reduce tube heating and extend helical run times. SmartBeam can be used in conjunction with SmartHelical for cumulative effects.

Sub-Second Scan

Sub-Second Scan

Sub-Second Scan provides full 360? scanning in 0.8 seconds. Sub-Second Scan reduces overall scan time or increases the number of slices than can be done in the same time. This is a great productivity tool for high image count exams and high volume sites. Sub-Second Scan does require the Performix tube. (with Performix tube only)
