Course Description: TVA Advantage Windows workstation instruction provides the radiographer with training in the theory, operation and application of the Advantage Windows workstation. Upon completion participants should be able to operate the system as required by the physician in the performance of patient studies.

Target Audience: Radiologic Technologists and/or Radiologists

  • TVA ready GE AW

Training Delivery Recommendations

Session 1: Total Contact Time - 2.75 Hours

  • System basics, Image management, building models

Session 2: Total Contact Time - 1.75 Hours

  • Building models and Image management

Methods and Materials:

Optimal training results are produced when a core group of radiology staff is identified; and dedicated to program completion. To ensure the proper learning environment without distraction, the patient schedule should be modified to allow full participation during the contact time listed for each instructional module. In addition, you will need to ensure that a telephone/speakerphone is available near the system to provide a means of direct verbal communication between the instructor and participants. Finally, be sure to have your TVA TiP kit at your side when training begins.

  • Perform start-up procedures.
  • Display images and perform basic display functions.
  • Perform reformat.
