Course Decription

The GE Healthcare Introduction to Discovery MR750 3.0T training program is a didactic and practical course to provide the attendee with the knowledge to operate the new Discovery MR750 3.0T MR system and to successfully use the new applications. This course is structured to optimize the time available for hands-on guided practice. Also, a limited class size of 6 students has been implemented to provide a conducive, interactive learning environment.

Instruction will take place in a classroom environment and in a Discovery MR750 3.0T suite at the GE Healthcare Institute or at MR Manufacturing. The lecture portion of the class will highlight the new features and workflow of the Discovery MR750 3.0T system, the working philosophy of the features and how they are used for better image quality and higher throughput. The attendee will have the opportunity to utilize their newly acquired knowledge and skills during the guided, hands-on practice sessions.

Prerequisites

This program is designed for experienced MR technologists who will have the GE Discovery MR750 3.0T installed shortly after attending class.

This class is not intended for, or should be attended by, Signa HD/HDx/HDxt 3.0T users. This is strictly for Discovery MR750 3.0T users. User interface and workflow are not comparable between the HD and MR750 systems.

The features of the GE Discovery MR750 3.0T should be practiced and utilized after completing the course to further enhance information sharing in your department, increase site productivity, and elevate the standard of patient care in your facility.

  • Orientation, MR safety and basic 3.0T physics
  • System overview to include new table, in-room monitor and RF transmission
  • Introduction to the new user interface and new workflow
  • Protocol building and series linking
  • Discussion of applications enhanced with ARC and IDEAL
  • Using new sequences like FSE-IDEAL, StarMAP and CUBE
  • Extended, guided hands-on Signa MR750 3.0T scanning
  • Utilize neuro and body post processing methods
  • Skill assessment & inventory
