TVA - TiP Virtual Assist

What is TVA?

TVA has created a new standard of convenient, flexible training and education. Your department can now enjoy live, interactive instruction delivered directly to your DI system console or AW workstation by a GE TiP Applications specialist.

To enhance your training experience, and optimize your productivity, we would like to provide a brief overview of what you’ll experience as a participant in a TVA remote interactive training program, and review a list of simple site preparation guidelines that will assist you in getting your department ready prior to delivery of your first TVA program.

TVA Program Overview:

After installation of your new AW or DI system, a GE Applications Specialist will contact you to schedule a convenient time for training delivery. Total program duration for each TVA program varies. Some programs are designed to be delivered in one “visit”, while others are segmented into “modules” to help you better manage your training time. The agenda included in your TVA training packet describes the content of each module, the recommended delivery schedule, and indicates the total contact hours per module.

After completion of your TVA program, each training participant will be required to access The Post Training Documentation web site at: http://www.gehealthcare.com/usen/education/tip_app/products/tiptrain.html. Here training participants will approve the agenda, complete a skill inventory and training assessment, and print CE certificates. Participant access to the TiP Post Training Documentation web site requires the creation of a Single Sign-On (SSO) and password. The SSO number serves as the unique identifier for each training participant. For detailed instructions on how to create a SSO account, please refer to the materials included in your TiP training packet.

Getting Your Department Prepared:

Optimal training results are produced when a core group of 4 CT/MR technologists/Radiologists are dedicated to the complete program. To ensure a proper learning environment without distraction, the patient schedule should be modified to allow full participation during the contact hours listed for each instructional module. In addition, you will need to ensure that a telephone / speakerphone is available near the DI Console or AW system to provide a means of direct verbal communication between the instructor and students, and that your system is broadband connected. Finally, be sure to have your TVA training kit at your side when the program begins.

CE Credit:

CE certification eligibility requires attendance of all modules in their entirety. The instructing GE Applications Specialist will verify training attendance via random roll call throughout the training program. CE certificates are may be ordered or printed directly from the TiP Applications Documentation web site.
