Course Description

Introduction to HQ CT Lightspeed VCT is a theoretical and practical program designed to prepare the CT technologist for onsite applications training. This course supplements and enhances onsite applications training.

Instruction takes place in a classroom and uses a live Lightspeed VCT system and Lightspeed VCT demonstration consoles at the GE Healthcare Institute near Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Training for the HQ CT Lightspeed VCT course will be delivered in a classroom, scanning on a live Lightspeed VCT scanner and using Lightspeed VCT demonstration consoles. Training methodology will combine lecture and hands on guided and unguided practice. Training content will cover beam collimation, scanning parameters, IQ and trade-offs, and detailed instruction on all new features available on the Lightspeed VCT System. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss scanning parameter selections, display functions, filming, archiving, networking and practice job-related activities. Capacity will be limited to 12 attendees to promote a conducive learning environment.
