CT TVA Training


Course Description:TVA DentaScan provides training in the application of the Image Analysis section of the DentaScan software. The program will commence after completion of onsite DentaScan training. Upon completion participants should be able to operate the software to its full capacity. Total program consists of 1 module (1 hour). Module 1 will focus on Image Analysis and review.

Target Audience: Radiologic Technologists and/or Radiologists

Prerequisites:

  • TVA ready GE AW Workstation or GE CT Scanner with DentaScan
  • Basic knowledge of AW Workstation (preferred)
  • Sample exams provided within TVA TiP kit loaded on AW

Training Delivery Recommendations

Session 1: Total Contact Time - 1 Hour

  • Module 1 Analysis and review of DentaScan

Methods and Materials:

Optimal training results are produced when a core group of radiology staff is identified; and dedicated to program completion. To ensure the proper learning environment without distraction, the patient schedule should be modified to allow full participation during the contact time listed for each instructional module. In addition, you will need to ensure that a telephone/speakerphone is available near the system to provide a means of direct verbal communication between the instructor and participants. Finally, be sure to have your TVA TiP kit at your side when training begins.

  • Identify safety information and position patient
  • Identify and perform proper scan protocol
  • Draw curve to display Panorex view
  • Set the oblique views
  • Set proper imaging parameters
  • Set proper imaging and archiving parameters
