CT TVA Training


Course Description:TVA Advanced Lung Analysis provides training in the theory, operation and application of the ALA software. The ALA program will commence after completion of basic Advantage Windows Workstation training. Upon completion participants should be able to operate the software to its full capacity. Total program consists of 2 modules. Module 1 (90 minutes) outlines and demonstrates all aspects of ALA software. After delivery of module 1, we’ll give your staff 1-2 weeks to work with the ALA software before scheduling a final review session, which will provide you the opportunity to reinforce software features.

Prerequisites:

  • TVA ready GE AW Workstation or GE CT Scanner with ALA
  • Basic knowledge of AW Workstation
  • Sample exams provided within TVA TiP kit loaded on AW

Training Delivery Recommendations

Session 1: Total Contact Time - 1.5 Hours

  • Module 1 Complete application of ALA software

Session 2: Total Contact Time - .5 Hours

  • Review

Methods and Materials:

Optimal training results are produced when a core group of radiology staff is identified; and dedicated to program completion. To ensure the proper learning environment without distraction, the patient schedule should be modified to allow full participation during the contact time listed for each instructional module. In addition, you will need to ensure that a telephone/speakerphone is available near the system to provide a means of direct verbal communication between the instructor and participants. Finally, be sure to have your TVA TiP kit at your side when training begins.
