The GE Healthcare Discovery MR750 3.0T Advanced Applications training program is a didactic and practical course designed to instruct GE Discovery users in the use of new clinical applications / PSDs and associated features on the Discovery MR750 3.0T MR system. This course is structured to optimize the time available for hands-on guided practice. Class size is limited to 7 students to provide a conducive, interactive learning environment.

Instruction will take place in a classroom environment and in a Discovery 750 3.0T suite either at the GE Healthcare Institute or at MR Manufacturing. The lecture portion of the class will highlight the new features of the Discovery 750 3.0T system, the working philosophy of the features and how they are used for better image quality and higher throughput. The attendee will have the opportunity to utilize their newly acquired knowledge and skills during the guided, hands-on practice sessions. No contrast agents are used for scanning sessions.

Target Audience

This program is designed for GE MR technologists who currently have a basic working knowledge and experience on the GE Discovery 750 3.0T system or for customers new to GE who have already completed the 3.0T 750 Introductory course. After the completion of the class, these concepts should be practiced to further enhance information sharing in your department, increase site productivity, and elevate the standard of patient care in your facility.

  • Overview of 750 new system design
  • Discuss Working safely in a 3T environment
  • Explain the structure and usage of new Discovery 750 pulse sequences: CUBE, IDEAL, StarMAP, 3D MERGE, Inhance PSD’s etc.
  • Present applications enhanced with 750: TRICKS, LAVA, VIBRANT, BREASE, BRAVO, PROPELLER, COSMIC etc…
  • Describe theory and application of the new parallel imaging technique ARC
  • Demonstration of the new Scan Desktop enhancements
  • Guided hands-on scanning
  • Guided hands-on post processing
  • Skill assessment & inventory
