Configure the Erbtec Amplifier
Work safely in the Erbtec environment
Describe the functionality of the Erbtec Amplifier
Troubleshoot the most common Erbtec Amplifier problem
Executive Summary:
The purpose of this course is to introduce the new Gradient Driver (ACGD) hardware and the software advancements of the Signa Select Software.
Course Competencies:
EPI Theory: Relate Echo Planar Imaging (EPI) theory to the physics of MR imaging
DWI Scan: Perform a DWI scan using the Signa Select software
ACGD Installation: Properly install and calibrate the ACGD Gradient Cabinet
Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting tips
DWEPIQ Tool: Perform diagnostics, identify artifacts and interpret results using the DWEPIQ tool
ASP2 Features: Gain credibility by demonstrating a basic knowledge of the Signa Select Software (ASP2) customer features
Executive Summary:
The MR TwinSpeed course covers hardware and software modifications to the Signa MR/i (LX) installed base and will constitute the bulk of forward production systems. Changes include a new body coil system (RF and gradient) designed to provide faster, quieter scanning and broaden the range of system applications due to the coil's duality. Coil use and new PSDs will enable the TwinSpeed to make maximum use of the ACGD gradient system's capabilities.
Course Competencies:
Define the need for the unique changes to the Signa MR system
Describe the contributing factors of the change
Describe the primary customer requirements
Describe the design changes to the gradient coil and magnet enclosure
Describe the components of the Twin Accessory Cabinet and what function they provide in the system
Describe various combinations of the Twin System Cooling Cabinets and Twin Gradient Cooling Cabinet
Describe the unique installation considerations of Software compatibility, TRM installation andRF Coil
Describe service considerations of the vacuum pump and the patient blower box filter
Describe the changes to Magnet Monitoring
Describe an overview of the RF Coil alignment procedure
Executive Summary:
This course covers the theory of the MR Spectroscopy option, the unique hardware characteristics and the differences between Multi-Nuclear Spectroscopy (MNS) and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS).
Course Competencies:
Identify the primary characteristics of Spectroscopy theory
Identify the primary characteristics of MNS theory
Distinguish between Spectroscopy hardware on a Signa Horizon (5X), Signa LX and Excite HD MR system
