Solar Basic & Invasive Monitoring Courses

Self-paced courses are available for nurses and other healthcare providers who need to acquire a basic familiarity of select Patient Monitoring products. These web-based courses are designed to introduce the student to the operation of the monitoring equipment and review the functions and characteristics of the individual components.


Solar 8000m Basic Monitoring Course

This program is designed to provide the participant with an introduction to the basic operation for non-Invasive parameters on the GE Healthcare Solar 8000m monitor, software version 5. Topics include admitting and discharging patients to the Solar 8000m monitor, alarm overview and customization, accessing menu options as well as basic pressure monitoring menu and features. Approximate length: 1 hours.

Solar 8000m Invasive Monitoring Course

This program is designed to provide the participant with an introduction to the basic operation for non-Invasive parameters on the GE Healthcare Solar 8000m monitor, software version 4. Topics include all content covered in the Solar 8000m Basic Monitoring Course, as well as basic and pulmonary artery pressure monitoring menu and features, including pulmonary artery wedge and insertion, cardiac output and calculations. Approximate length: 2 hours.

Course cost: $50


Solar 8000i Invasive Monitoring Course

This program is designed to provide the participant with an introduction to the basic operation for non-invasive parameters on the GE Healthcare Solar 8000i monitor, software version 4. Topics include all content covered in the Solar 8000i Basic Monitoring Course, as well as basic and pulmonary artery pressure monitoring menu and features, including pulmonary artery wedge and insertion, cardiac output and calculations. Approximate length: 2 hours.
