Course Description:
Key areas of concentration in this self-paced course include a review of the anatomy, physiology, and function of the heart, ECG lead placement and waveforms, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias. A systematic method to analyze the ECG is presented and demonstrated. Type of arrhythmias are discussed, answering the questions: what do I call the rhythm, what does it mean, and what do I do about it? Hands-on practice exercises are presented to enhance the learning experience.
Approximate length: 3-4 hour
Course cost: $69.00
Intended Audience:
The target audience includes: Nurses, emergency medical technologists, cardiac monitoring technicians, respiratory therapists, and any healthcare personnel with the need to understand electrocardiograms. Other technologists may also benefit from viewing this program.
