Executive Summary:

The Philips MX8000 Basic System Support course focuses on system level troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for the Philips MX8000 series of scanners. This introductory course covers the basic function and operation of the system. The course focus is to introduce the service engineer to key front line service aspects as well as PM and tube change procedures. We apply the skills learned in previous CT courses and experience to the unique requirements of MX8000 system


EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Operate a Philips MX8000 system during troubleshooting and servicing.
  • Follow and apply the appropriate safety procedures (radiation, electrical, and ECPL) when servicing and troubleshooting a Philips MX8000 CT system using the appropriate system documentation and tools.
  • Locate and identify all modules and boards in the Philips MX8000 system and explain their basic function.
  • Configure and calibrate a Philips MX8000 system using the appropriate system documentation and tools.
  • Triage troubleshooting, isolate problems and repair system faults on a Philips MX8000 system to the module or board level using appropriate system documentation and tools.
  • Perform a tube changes procedure for a Philips MX8000 system using the appropriate system documentation.
  • Perform a functional (applications) check of a Philips MX8000 system using the appropriate system documentation and tools.
  • Perform a planned maintenance inspection on a Philips MX8000 system using the appropriate system documentation and tools.
