Executive Summary:

This course is designed to provide the individual with practical skills to service Picker Eclipse/Polaris/Apollo MR scanners. Emphasis is placed on honing the skills and competencies to achieve a degree of service autonomy. The course will concentrate on problem identification and resolution to the circuit board and subassembly level. Course format employs integrated lectures and labs (30% lecture / 70% lab). Laboratory time is key to reinforce learned skills. Topics covered include: system configuration knowledge, system operation, basic monthly PM procedures, basic calibrations and adjustments, tips on frequent failure resolution.


EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Operate the system correctly
  • Use OEM operation manual effectively
  • Identify all safety hazards and comply with all OEM safety precautions
  • Identify and explain the function of the primary system components
  • Perform functional checks to determine when system operation fails to meet basic OEM specifications
  • Perform system basic monthly PM
  • Perform system high level troubleshooting


PREREQUISITES:

Participants should have a minimum of 1-year experience in MR Field Service and be competent in areas including MR Technology, RF generation / detection and basic Electronic circuit theory.
