Executive Summary:

The Centricity course is designed to provide classroom lecture and hands-on training in regards to the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting (to Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) level) of the Centricity and the Centricity workstations. This course is intended for the service engineer who will be responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining a Centricity CR Reader and Centricity QA workstations.


EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this course, the Service Engineer will be able to:

  • Describe the process used to perform Centricity CR workstation software Load From Cold/ Load From Warm, 100% of the time without support when upgrading, or after workstation maintenance
  • Perform Centricity CR workstation monitor calibration, using existing service procedures and tools, 100% of the time without support after monitor installation, replacement or planned maintenance (PM)
  • Utilize basic Windows NT Explorer commands 90% of the time for the purpose of identifying directory tree structure and configuration file location
  • Perform installation of the Centricity CR Readers and workstations 100% of the time without support
  • Configure the Centricity Server/Client workstations 100% of the time for DICOM CR image transfer to GEPACS and a growing list of GE specific products, during installation
  • Configure, check and if required, calibrate the Centricity CR Readers 90% of the time without support during installation
  • Operate the Centricity CR Readers & workstations 90% of the time without support while installing or servicing the equipment
  • Use system tools/procedures to successfully troubleshoot Centricity CR basic system faults 90% of the time without support
  • Startup and shutdown the Centricity CR system 100% of the time without support during system maintenance and repair
  • Perform system level checks on Centricity CR Readers and workstation components using documented procedures
