EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this class, the participant will be able to:

Identify general safety hazards and comply with all safety precautions while operating and servicing the system.

Identify, utilize and interpret ADAC documentation.

Operate the system to verify proper operation and duplicate user complaints
-
Locate major system sub sections / components and describe their function.
-
Relate all system error codes to the appropriate sub system.
-
Calibrate all Gantry & Exchanger motions.
-
Calibrate the Detectors.
-
Perform a Ring Cable replacement.
-
Diagnose and repair the system to the board / assembly level.
-
Describe the functions of the Atlas Acquisition PC.
-
Open a UNIX window and utilize basic UNIX commands to move throughout the file system.
-
Troubleshoot the Ethernet connection
-
Properly boot and login to Peg/Atlas.
-
Properly logout or shutdown Peg/Atlas.
-
Troubleshoot the Peg/Atlas hardware.
-
Utilize all available system diagnostics.
-
Work safely with liquid radioactive sources in a clinical environment.
-
Perform the semi-annual PM procedure.
