ApexPro/CIC Pro Telemetry Courses

Self-paced courses are available for nurses and other healthcare providers who need to acquire a basic familiarity of select Patient Monitoring products. These web-based courses are designed to introduce the student to the operation of the monitoring equipment and review the functions and characteristics of the individual components.

ApexPro Telemetry Course

This course is designed to familiarize the participant with the operations of the GE Healthcare ApexPro Telemetry Monitoring System, software version 2 and the Clinical Information Center (CIC Pro), software version 3. Topics include an overview of the features of the ApexPro telemetry transceiver, admitting and discharging patients to the CIC Pro central monitoring system, alarm features and management techniques, retrieving and printing patient specific data and accessing menus from the CIC Pro screen. Approximate length: 1 hour.

ApexPro CH Telemetry Course

This course is designed to familiarize the participant with the operations of the GE Healthcare ApexPro Channelized (CH) Telemetry Monitoring System, version 3 and the Clinical Information Center (CIC Pro), version 3. Topics include an overview of the features of the ApexPro CH telemetry transceiver, admitting and discharging patients to the CIC Pro central monitoring system, alarm features and management techniques, retrieving and printing patient specific data and accessing menus from the CIC Pro screen. Approximate length: 1 hour.

ApexPro FH Telemetry Course

This course is designed to familiarize the participant with the operations of the GE Healthcare ApexPro Frequency Hopping (FH) Telemetry Monitoring System, version 3 and the Clinical Information Center (CIC Pro), version 3. Topics include an overview of the features of the ApexPro FH telemetry transceiver, admitting and discharging patients to the CIC Pro central monitoring system, alarm features and management techniques, retrieving and printing patient specific data and accessing menus from the CIC Pro screen. Approximate length: 1 hour.

CIC Pro Version 5 Course

This course is designed to familiarize the participant with the operations of the GE Healthcare Clinical Information Center Pro (CIC Pro) central monitoring system. Topics include all content covered in the Apex Pro CH/FH telemetry courses, as well as identification of the components of the CIC Pro System, screen components, strip printing, alarm features and management techniques, viewing of patient data, events, trends and vital signs, using the onscreen ECG waveform calipers feature and individualization of screens per user preference.
Approximate length: 1 hour.
