With AdvantageCTC… a virtual examination is now easier than ever...

Benefit: Triple Colon Review… leverages 2D, 3D, or exclusive 360 Dissection in a primary read

Explain: Because of the way colon software was designed in the past, most clinicians read colon exams using a 2D or 3D primary approach. AdvantageCTC was designed so the reader can leverage a 2D, 3D or 360 Dissection View at any point during the read for either primary interpretation or problem solving.

Importance: The integration and synchronization of a 2D, 3D and Dissection view dramatically improves clinician reading workflow and time of read. This is accomplished simply by displaying the proper anatomical presentation at any point in time.

Benefit: Offers the ability to track the entire internal, mural and extracolonic colon from rectum to cecum enabling a thorough and precise diagnosis

Explain: CT Colonography uses digital 3D volume datasets acquired from CT systems. This volume of data contains all the anatomical information of a patient. It is the software design that dictates the speed and quality of the retrieved information and in what format it is presented.

Importance: CT Colonography was designed to offer a thorough examination of the complete intra and extra-luminal colon affording clinicians the potential of identifying abdominal abnormalities.

Benefit: Faster reading times

Explain: Colonoscopy can take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete just the procedure. This does not include the report time. AdvantageCTC scan acquisition and read times can be completed in less than 30 minutes with read times being less than 15 minutes.

Importance: Offers the clinician more time to do more cases.

Benefit: Fast, interactive electronic patient reporting

Explain: Patient Reporting functionality includes:

  • Bookmark process activates report: captures polyp location, shape, distance from rectum, lesion size, comments, and automatic and manual images. The report then processes the information and generates an automatic conclusion contained in the report.
  • Customizable: add logos, physician signatures, diagrams, general text, e.g., web pages, colon cancer or general information in any location or using any font.
  • Displays bookmark locations on prone / supine 3D maps.
  • Clinicians can create common conclusions for quick repeated use.

Importance: A reporting process that has integrated reading workflow for improved productivity due to the fact there is less side or busy work demanded of the reading physician.
