The LightSpeed VCT XT configuration extends the clinical capability of volume CT. It is a whole body scanner with innovative, advanced cardiac and neuro imaging. SnapShot Pulse can deliver up to 83% dose savings with improved image quality in cardiac studies. Another LightSpeed VCT XT advancement is VolumeShuttle. This new acquisition technique enables 80mm of axial coverage for improved neuro CTA and perfusion with a single contrast injection at 24% lower dose.

The power enabling the LightSpeed VCT XT are the 40mm high resolution coverage of the V-Res detector and the powerful 100kW generator that are the heart and soul of the >2000 LightSpeed VCT's installed today.
