Faculty Background

Dr. Tanenbaum is an active educator with interests in advanced topics in CT and MR. A senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, Dr. Tanenbaum is a member of the Roster of Distinguished Scientific Advisors of the RSNA as well as a number of panels of the ACR including the Expert Panel on Neuroimaging and the CPI / Neuroradiology Expert Review Panel. Dr Tanenbaum currently holds the position of Chairman, Committee on Human Resources of the Commission on Neuroradiology and MRI of the ACR and is a member of the editorial boards of several organizations and scientific journals. An active speaker focusing on the application of advanced techniques in the clinical setting, Dr. Tanenbaum is currently President of the Clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging Society.


Course Overview

This content rich course in volumetric helical CT will take participants from concepts of 64 channel CT and protocol design to advanced techniques including CT Colonography, CTA of the coronary, body and neuro vasculature and perfusion CT. Dr. Tanenbaum's guide to volume CT scanning stresses practical issues such as data management (multiplanar display, networking and storage), patient throughput and contrast utilization and provides hands on experience at the Advantage Workstation.
