Course OverviewThis 3 ½ day offering begins with a four hour 'Intro to Advantage Workstation (AW) Cardiac Software Workshop' to be held on Sunday afternoon lead by a GE Applications Specialist. The purpose of this class is to provide attendees with basic knowledge of the workstation to produce diagnostic coronary images The skills learned in this session will allow for a faster pace during Dr. Earls' course resulting in a maximum number of cases reviewed. (This session is a mandatory part of the class. Unless attendees have extensive experience using GE's Cardiac CT software on the AW they should plan on attending this session). The focus of this course is learning how to perform and interpret cardiac CT angiography examinations. The intent of this offering is to primarily provide a large volume of mentored cases for either ACC/AHA or ACR accreditation purposes. A combination of live clinical cases (usually 30-35) as well as archived cases (usually 40-45, many with available conventional angiographic correlation) will be processed and interpreted together during the course. Participants will have their own AW. It is assumed attendees have either gone to a basic cardiac CT course or have some clinical experience scanning patients and processing cases. This course also offers the opportunity to obtain additional cases toward Level 3 cardiology certification requirements. |
